Rules
- Acceptance of the terms is a condition of entry. All instructions form part of the rules.
- The 2013 CoGH SPCA ONLINE PET PHOTO COMPETITION begins on 11 June 2013 and ends on 8 July 2013.
- ENTRIES OPEN at 12h00 on Tuesday 11 June 2013.
- ENTRIES CLOSE at 16h00 on Monday 1 July 2013. All entries for competitions must be received by the specified closing date and time.
- VOTING opens at 12h00 on Tuesday 11 June 2013.
- VOTING closes at 16h00 on Monday 8 July 2013.
- The Contest is limited to pet dogs and cats only.
- Photographs of entrants submitted must be recent (i.e. within the last 6 months).
- Photographs of entrants must depict the dog in their natural state – i.e. pictures of dressed up dogs in any sort of costume, and/or performing an unnatural action will not be considered.
- Entries will only be posted onto our website once they have been moderated and proof of donation has been received.
- All entries are subject to scrutiny and validation, and entry forms must contain all the required information entered in English, in order to be valid. Invalid entries are non-refundable.
- No responsibility will be accepted for any entries which are lost or delayed due to technical/computer problems. Only entries submitted through the SPCA website will be accepted and entries from any other source will be considered invalid.
- All entries, photographs, and other material submitted as part of a competition entry shall become the property and the copyright of the CoGH SPCA and Royal Canin. The CoGH SPCA reserves the right to publish them in whole or in part, or use them in any way they think fit without the permission of the entrant.
- All comments posted on entries within the Competition website must adhere to the official commenting policy. Violation of this policy may result in removal of comments, termination of accounts, and/or disqualification from the Competition.
- The decision of the CoGH SPCA, Royal Canin and the judges is final in all matters and no further correspondence will be entered into.
- By entering the Competition, you warrant that your entry is original, that you are the sole owner and copyright holder of your entry, and that you have not granted exclusive rights to all or part of your entry to any other person or entity. You also warrant that your entry does not invade the right of privacy of any individual; does not infringe any trademark, trade name, trade secret, intellectual property right, or other common law or statutory right; nor does it contain any material that might be deemed offensive or obscene, or that otherwise violates any criminal prohibition or the personal or proprietary rights of any person or entity.
- This competition is open to residents of South Africa only. International residents are allowed to vote for their favourite entrant but not enter the competition. If the entrant is younger than 18 years of age they must stipulate their age and have his/her parent’s or legal guardian’s permission to enter the Contest. The parent or legal guardian of an entrant under the legal age agrees to ensure that the entrant will comply with these Official Contest Rules and warrants that the entrant is capable of agreeing to these Official Contest Rules and giving the consent contained herein.
- Employees and independent contractors of the Cape of Good Hope SPCA, Tamed and Framed Pet Photography, Mustard Marketing and Royal Canin their affiliates, and any other individual or entity involved in the development, promotion, or execution of the Competition, and the immediate family members and/or household members of each are not eligible.
- The CoGH SPCA and Royal Canin will not be held liable for any loss, damage or trauma including without limitation, indirect or consequential loss, damage or trauma, arising out of or in connection with the use of our websites or via any of our social networking platforms.
- All winners (collectively, the “Winners”) will be announced by Thursday, 11 July 2013 and will be notified via telephone and/or email.
- In the event that a winner is unable to accept a prize within a reasonable amount of time, an alternate winner will be selected by the panel of judges.
- Winners will be required to complete and sign an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability Release, and, where legal, a Publicity Release, all of which must be returned within thirty (30) days of attempted prize notification or the prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate Winner. In the event of non-compliance with these Official Rules, or if a prize or prize notification is unclaimed or returned as undeliverable, the prize will be awarded to the next eligible contestant.
