Why Fiela should win:

I picked Fiela up in June last year in an industrial area on a cold, rainy morning. No one was around at that time and I thought I had knocked her over. She was in a terrible state: howling, crying, etc. I immediately took her to the Tygerberg Animal Hospital as I could see she was not in a good condition and I was afraid I had driven over her. The vet said that I hadn’t hurt her, but that she had not had any food or water since birth. She was a couple of days old by then. After the vet gave her all sorts of things and I took her home. That evening I thought she was going to die from all the vomiting. She was sick for a whole week! We named her Fiela, from the book and movie “Fiela se kind”. Now, 10 months later, Fiela is our “child”, protector, “sister” to our other dog and the best thing that’s happened to us! We can not imagine our life without her!
